The Los Angeles Lakers‘ victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs was largely due to Anthony Davis.
He frequently displayed dominance, averaging 20.8 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks per game.
Davis has maintained his composure throughout the series despite the Grizzlies’ and everyone else in Los Angeles’ attempts to annoy him.
Davis spoke on Friday night about the Grizzlies’ media comments and trash-talking.
Talking will happen. Davis stated, “We just go out and let out game talk and play basketball. We’ve had some trash talking on the court in the series.

We try to avoid engaging in back-and-forth with such folks, Davis continued. Obviously, that is how most males initiate themselves.
The Lakers’ big man claimed that he and his squad were aware of Dillon Brooks’ comments to the media, but the Lakers refused to fall for the trap.
They were aware that the Grizzlies would cease talking if they didn’t obtain the answer they were looking for.
That is exactly what happened, he claimed.
According to Davis, the Lakers never discussed avoiding responding to the Grizzlies’ taunts, instead choosing to take LeBron James’ example.
Brooks singled out James, but he declined to respond to the rising Memphis star.
The other Lakers decided not to engage in a heated exchange with the Grizzlies after seeing how he handled the circumstance.
Even though the Grizzlies spoke a lot, they fell short.
The Lakers, however, simply continued to concentrate on what was most important: winning.
