Teams seek to add future NFL stars at the NFL Draft.
The greatest method to create a championship squad is to hit on draft picks, but there are still some dubious selections along the road.
The San Francisco 49ers selected one of those dubious picks in the third round.
The 99th overall pick went to Michigan kicker Jake Moody.
With the No. 99 overall pick in the 2023 @NFLDraft, the @49ers select Jake Moody!

A kicker going this high in the draft is unusual.
But it became obvious that the 49ers needed a new kicker after losing Robbie Gould.
Despite being the top kicker available, Moody was not expected to be selected until the fifth round.
Although it looked needless, the 49ers did not want to lose out and reached for a kicker.
this is very confusing.

Um third round for a kicker?!?!???

One of the things in the NFL that is most undervalued is having a reliable kicker.
Before they start missing kicks, you never realize how much you need a kicker.
A season typically has several games when the outcome depends on a successful field goal.
At Michigan, Moody made numerous clutch kicks; he’ll need to do the same in the NFL.
Love it! Definitely a NEED!

Many 49ers supporters are pleased with their new kicker.
He will very certainly serve as their kicker at the start of the upcoming season if we take him that high.
49ers got themselves a good kicker

It will be intriguing to watch how Moody’s NFL career develops.
As a third-round pick, he will undoubtedly be kicking with anticipation.
