TheSan Francisco 49ershad one of the most improbable runs to a conference championship during the 2022 season.

Led by a seventh-round rookie quarterback, the 49ers were able to utilize their strong defense to capitalize, making a deeper postseason run than many expected.

With several weeks until the beginning of the 2023 campaign, the 49ers are still waiting to hear a definitive answer at the quarterback position.

While they wait to hear about the status of their quarterback, a 49ers cornerback has commented on his strategy ahead of the season.

Third-year cornerback Deommodore Lenoir said, I want them to attack me, as seen below.

As Lenoir indicates in this interview, he s ready for another impactful season on one of the league s best defenses.

The 49ers have routinely found themselves near the top of the league s defensive ranks, which looks to continue in 2023.

Lenoir doesn t necessarily rack up a ton of stats, such as interceptions or sacks.

If you don t watch 49ers games, Lenoir s name doesn t typically stick out in the box score.

However, as Lenoir points out during this interview, teams began to notice his dominance towards the end of the regular season.

That first drive, they didn t come to me at all versus the Eagles, Lenoir said.

He truly believes that he is a defensive difference-maker, and teams finally respected his talents and natural ability.

Now, Lenoir and the 49ers will look to 2023 with Super Bowl aspirations in mind, especially considering their success last season.

Will they be able to win the NFC West again in 2023, given the increased firepower of the Seattle Seahawks?
