TheNFLis a pass-happy league, now more than ever.
The rules and the way the game is played today make it easier for wideouts to dominate, which is why the game keeps transitioning away from that old-school, run-heavy offense from the days of old.
But even though all teams have a clear-cut No. 1 in the passing game, and granted that there s no shortage of talent at the position, a handful of players still stand out from the rest of the pack.
With that in mind, Emmanuel Acho put together his list of the top-five wide receivers in the league.

At No. 5, he chose Stefon Diggs, currently tangled up in a bit of a controversy with the Buffalo Bills but still one of the most dominant playmakers in the game thanks to that combination with Josh Allen.
His choice for the fourth-best wideout in the game was another guy tied to a bit of a scandal recently.
Tyreek Hill, the ultimate speedster and playmaker on the open field, made the list because of his explosiveness.
At No. 3, Acho chose Davante Adams, who might fly under the radar from time to time, but he s proved that he doesn t need to have a Hall of Famer at quarterback to post insane numbers.
Surprisingly, Justin Jefferson was his choice at No. 2, even though he s made it more than clear that he s the best in the game in the recent past, even with Kirk Cousins as his quarterback.
Then, he talked about Ja Marr Chase and the things he can do with the football in his hands, praising his route-running ability and how he s made an immediate impact in the game.
