It s been long enough since theDallas Cowboyslast made it to the big game.

Mike McCarthy s team has made the playoffs more often than not lately, but no one has considered them a legit threat to come out of the NFC.

And while their coaching and front office have often been pointed out as potential reasons for that, poor QB play has also made people think that they don t have what it takes to go the distance.

Notably, that includes former NFL star Plaxico Burress, who recently stated that the Cowboys can win games with Dak Prescott but that they ll never win a Super Bowl with him.

Burress cites that Prescott has already reached his ceiling as a quarterback, so he ll pretty much be the same player for the remainder of his career, at least until his decline.

Prescott showed glimpses of solid play early in his career before hitting a bit of a wall.

He s been the true definition of inconsistency for the better part of his career, and he s not even much of a runner or a scrambler since he suffered that gruesome injury a couple of seasons ago.

He s not exactly the most durable guy in the league either, and he led the NFL in interceptions last season despite missing plenty of time.

Even so, the Cowboys are pretty much stuck with him for the foreseeable future, given the nature of his contract.

There s still a chance that he figures things out and takes a leap forward, but that seems unlikely at this point.
