On Wednesday night, the red-hotSan Francisco Giantskept on rolling as they defeated the San Diego Padres by a final score of 4-2.
The win gave the Giants their 10th consecutive win and helped them overtake the Miami Marlins for the top spot in the National League Wild Card race.
San Francisco now owns a record of 42-32 after their win over the Padres.
And with their latest win, the Giants managed to make a little bit of history in the process.
Not since 2004 had the Giants pulled off a winning streak of 10 games or more.
19 years later, that all changed as the Giants secured their 10th consecutive win.

Back in 2004, the Giants won 91 games during the regular season, but fell just short of the postseason.
However, it had been since then that they had pulled off a winning streak of at least 10 games.
On Wednesday, that finally changed.
The Giants remain just 2.5 games back of the first-place Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West division.
The team has received contributions from several of their stars such as J.D. Davis, Michael Conforto, Casey Schmitt, Patrick Bailey, Logan Webb, and others this season.
They missed out on signing Aaron Judge and Carlos Correa last offseason, but have been able to prove their doubters wrong up to this point in the season.
As the new leaders of the Wild Card race, they ll try for a sweep over the slumping Padres on Thursday as they look to extend their streak to 11 games.
