TheMiami Heatare reportedly exploring multiple avenues to land Damian Lillard.

Lillard has finally requested a trade out of the Portland Trail Blazers, and he also made it more than clear that he wants to play in South Beach.

Nonetheless, the Heat might not have enough assets to pull off a trade of this caliber, which is why they may need to get a third team involved in the negotiations.

With that in mind, Ian Begley (via NBA Central) reports that the Brooklyn Nets would be more than willing and glad to enter the trade talks if they can get Tyler Herro.

Herro is obviously the Heat s most valuable trade piece.

They could also look to move Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, and three first-round picks, but none of those players have a high trade value as of now.

Herro s development has kind of stalled, and he s failed to take that leap forward as a 25+ PPG scorer, but he definitely has the potential.

Perhaps all he needs is a change of scenery and to play for a team where he can take more shots, and the Nets could give him that kind of workload.

The Nets cannot afford to tank because the Houston Rockets control their draft for the foreseeable future, so they need to get better now.

And a one-two punch of Tyler Herro and Mikal Bridges might be enough to at least stay in playoff contention, and they could continue to build around those two potential All-Stars for years to come.
