In the last two seasons, theBaltimore Orioleshave started a youth movement that included the promotions of Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson, Grayson Rodriguez, DL Hall, Jordan Westburg, and other impactful players.

Most of those players have retained their place on the roster and are contributing every day.

However, the Orioles system still has future stars to give.

Recently, it was revealed that one of their best prospects, Colton Cowser, will make his MLB debut on Wednesday.

Thanks to MLB Stats and a very neatly done graphic, we can get to know Cowser.

Cowser is a 23-year-old outfielder who was selected fifth overall in the 2021 MLB Draft.

He is ranked as the 14th-best prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline.

In 56 Triple-A games this year, he has accumulated 67 hits, 10 home runs, seven stolen bases, and a .330 batting average.

He also has 54 runs scored, almost one per game, because he owns an elite 18.7 percent walk rate at Norfolk.

He has a keen eye at the plate that will benefit the O s lineup greatly.

Patience, power, and contact: offensively, Cowser has it all.

If the Orioles could find a way to develop or acquire an impactful starter or two, they would be considered favorites in any potential playoff series they eventually play in.

Starting pitching is certainly on the agenda for the trade deadline.

To get their hands on a quality starter, however, they probably won t include Cowser in any conversation.

He is just too good and promising to give away.

He looks like a future All-Star player and could help the O s win some games starting in 2023.
