The Jacksonville Jaguars were considered a dark horse to win the AFC and perhaps a chance to play in the Super Bowl going into the season.

They’ve started the season 1-2 and lost to one of the league’s poorest clubs, so they’ve obviously not looked the part thus far.

Although divisional matchups are always difficult, Doug Pederson’s team learned a valuable lesson from their home loss to the Houston Texans.

Trevor Lawrence made it quite evident on Twitter that he is recording everything that is being said about his team at the moment.

The Jaguars had a similar poor start to the previous season before winning a divisional championship and making the playoffs.

They handled business in Week 1 against Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts, and in Week 2, they played excellent defense in that close defeat to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Then, despite being at home and playing against a rookie quarterback with a questionable offensive line, DeMeco Ryans defense placed Lawerence and the entire offense in a chokehold, and they were never able to establish their game.

With a strong schedule, the Jaguars will try to recover when they play the Atlanta Falcons in London the following week.

Even though there is still plenty more football to be played, they are currently in third place in their division, thus they can no longer afford to lose games like this.
