Throughout their history, theNew York Jetshave had their fair share of ups and downs.

The Green Gang hasn t won the Super Bowl since 1968, and they haven t finished on top of the AFC East division since 2002.

Notably, that might all change with Aaron Rodgers in town.

However, as much hope as he might bring to the team and the fans, the legendary quarterback claims he s not there to be the savior of the franchise.

Rodgers is perhaps the most accomplished quarterback to ever play for the franchise, and even though he s not in his prime anymore, he s still one of the top-notch signal-callers in the game.

But as much as he claims he s not there to save the day, the Jets gave up a lot of assets to have him on board because they know he s the kind of guy who can finally get them over the hump.

Moreover, regardless of all the things he s done and accomplished in the league, this will be a new stop for him, and as such, he needs to bring his A-game as well; he won t be entitled to any praise from the fans unless he wins there as well.

That was the case with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay or Peyton Manning in Denver; nothing they did before mattered until they were able to lead them to a Super Bowl win.

The Jets have everything to raise another banner in 2023, so there s no more room for patience or excuses in Gotham.
