It was generally anticipated that the Carolina Panthers would select Bryce Young with the first overall choice in the 2023 NFL Draft.

There was one Panthers player who was less than thrilled, despite the initial enthusiasm of many fans.

The Panthers’ backup quarterback, Matt Corral, is likely to remain in that position unless Young suffers an injury.

Corral posted a comment after the draft that contained Avoid remaining in a situation where no one recognizes your worth.

From league fans all over, Corral has gotten a lot of unfavorable response for this article.

Many fans voiced their dissatisfaction with Corral because it seems like he is unwilling to compete with Young.

This fan suggests that competing against Young could be a teaching opportunity.

The Panthers selected Corral in the third round of the 2022 draft.

It is unclear how long he will stay on the team.

He doesn’t seem to be doing himself any favors with these social media comments, as several of his followers have pointed out.

The Panthers made the organization’s future when they selected Young with the first overall pick.

That action didn’t necessarily imply Corral’s hopes of making the squad were finished, though.

For instance, the San Francisco 49ers selected Trey Lance with the third overall pick in 2021.

In the seventh round of the 2022 draft, they selected Brock Purdy, who eventually saw action following two injuries.

Corral may have received a comparable chance prior to this tweet.

Given his initial response to the Panthers selecting Young, will they keep him on?
