It’s no secret that the St. Louis Cardinals‘ 2023 season hasn’t gone as planned.

The same is true of great third baseman and MVP finalist Nolan Arenado.

But the squad has already won six of their last seven games and just finished a three-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox.

Arenado had a very strong weekend at Fenway Park, and it all started on Friday with a two-run home run in the first inning against James Paxton.

From that point on, Arenado was committed, and in the end, he homered in each of the three games at Fenway.

The Cardinals shared some of Arenado’s great stats from the most recent weekend series on Twitter.

Over the weekend, Arenado was undoubtedly focused at the plate and may actually be turning a corner, much like what may be occurring with the Cardinals as a whole.

In the three games against the Red Sox, the veteran slugger went 7 for 14.

He scored seven runs and added three home runs.

A two-run single on Sunday night helped St. Louis increase its lead against the Sox to 6-1 during that outstanding weekend series.

The Cardinals won the game 9-1 in the end on Sunday.

However, Arenado was the driving force behind St. Louis’ ascent back into the NL Central and NL Wild Card battle.

Arenado increased his batting average to.256 and his home run total to six with his strong performance at Fenway Park.
