When theChicago Bullsput together the dynamic duo of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine a few years ago, and the team started to have some success, it seemed like the storied NBA franchise was on the verge of becoming a force to be reckoned with once again.

Unfortunately, the Bulls have failed to live up to expectations year after year in the DeRozan-LaVine era, and now the six-time NBA champions appear ready to shake things up.

According to Sam Smith of Bulls.com, significant changes could be on the horizon for Chicago, which means the team could be very active during the summer via NBA Central.

The Bulls starting over or making a blockbuster trade or two is something many believed would ve already happened, with LaVine and DeRozan being in trade rumors for the last couple of years.

With the team seemingly convinced that the team as currently constructed can t compete in the Eastern Conference moving forward, the Bulls could be open for business, with plenty of assets that will almost certainly intrigue other teams around the league.

The real question is whether Chicago is ready to start from scratch and compile draft picks or if the team is looking to make a blockbuster trade to win now as opposed to years down the line.

DeRozan and or LaVine will undoubtedly be in trade rumors again if the Bulls go this route.

Only time will tell where these veteran scorers may end up and what potential contenders around the league may show interest in bolstering their roster.
