The San Antonio Spurs could very well be the team of the future in theNBA, with Gregg Popovich and company recently coming out on top in the NBA Draft Lottery, which puts them in prime position to draft French superstar Victor Wembanyama.
Unfortunately for San Antonio, the storied franchise can only sit, wait, and watch as Wembanyama finishes his career overseas in preparation for the 2023 NBA Draft on June 22.
With less than a month until Wembanyama starts his basketball career in the United States, presumably with the Spurs, the future NBA superstar continues to showcase his skills in the LNB playoffs, with these most recent highlights via FanDuel TV.

Although Scoot Henderson has made some noise as a player that could potentially go No. 1 in the draft, Wembanyama is about as sure bet as any player that has come before him to be the top pick, with San Antonio potentially on the verge of turning the franchise around.
Wembanyama will follow in the footsteps of another great Spurs big man in Tim Duncan, who also went No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft and went on to have an incredibly successful career with five titles to his credit under Popovich in San Antonio.
The pressure will be on Wembanyama right out of the gate, as we haven t seen this kind of hype for a young player since superstar forward LeBron James came into the league in 2003 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Only time will tell if Wembanyama can succeed on the NBA level, but the odds are in his favor, with Popovich leading the way.
