The Bob Myers era of theGolden State Warriorshas officially come to an end, with the longtime general manager of the storied NBA franchise walking away from the team following the 2022-23 campaign.

There was a lot of speculation heading toward Myers decision to stay or go, with many believing he would walk away from the franchise.

On Tuesday, Myers spoke to the media for the first time since the end of the Warriors season and let his intentions be known, which immediately led to the question of whom would be his successor in Golden State.

Myers was asked who he thinks would be a good fit to replace him, and he feels that Mike Dunleavy Jr. should be his successor via 95.7 The Game.

Dunleavy Jr. is currently the vice president of basketball operations for the Warriors, which means he s already got a relationship with the team and was mentored by one of the best to do it in Myers.

However, it is unclear what the team s intentions are moving forward, as it isn t out of the realm of possibility that the franchise wants to go with an outside hire and start fresh at the position.

As for Myers, he has just become a hot commodity on the open market, with teams needing to fill the front-office position likely already working the phones trying to get some face time with the free-agent general manager.

It d be safe to assume that Myers won t be unemployed for long.
