The first day of June has arrived.

Two months of the 2023MLBseason have come and gone, and now it s time for us to see who the true postseason and World Series contenders are, as well as the teams who are likely out of the race.

But the initial two months have been interesting.

Certain teams, such as the Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves, have played great baseball, while other teams, such as the St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres, have been major disappointments.

On Twitter, former MLB star Mark DeRosa made a list of his top-5 World Series favorites as we move into the month of June.

The Braves are at the top of DeRosa’s list.

DeRosa reached the Major Leagues with the Braves 1998 and was with the team until 2005.

Right-handed pitchers Spencer Strider and Bryce Elder have made significant contributions for the Braves.

The Rays are listed second.

They busted out of the gates by winning their first 13 games and still have the best record in all of baseball.

The Houston Astros, who are the defending World Series champions, remain a powerful team.

The third-ranked city on the list is Houston.

The Texas Rangers and the San Diego Padres complete the list, respectively.

Texas was busy this past winter, adding Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, and Andrew Heaney to their rotation, which has performed quite well.

The Padres are 25-30, but still have plenty of talent on their roster and could turn things around at any given point.
