Lacking Jacob deGrom?
No issue.
TheTexas Rangershave continued to soar to impressive heights thanks to the depth of their roster.
With deGrom out, the Rangers have relied heavily on right-hander Nathan Eovaldi this season.
After being signed to a two-year, $34 million contract this past offseason, the veteran right-hander has emerged as the team s ace in deGrom s absence.
He is 8-2 in his first 12 starts with the team and has posted an impressive ERA of 2.24.
His last seven starts have been especially dominant.
The 33-year-old right-hander is 6-0 with an ERA of 0.68 over 52.2 innings of work while striking out 46 batters and posting a WHIP of 0.68, as noted by Thomas Carrieri.

Eovaldi was a frugal addition for the Rangers this past winter, but he has rewarded them with a dominant stretch recently.
Last season, the right-hander went 6-3 with a 3.87 ERA in 20 starts with the Boston Red Sox.
This season, he has taken his dominance to a new level.
His pitching is one of many reasons why the Rangers currently own the second-best record in all of baseball.
Eovaldi helped guide the Red Sox to a World Series title in 2018 and looks to be on a similar path with the Rangers this season.
But this recent stretch is certainly impressive.
The former World Series champion and All-Star also has a track record of pitching well in the postseason, which may serve the Rangers well later in the season.
But Eovaldi is certainly living up to his nickname of Nasty Nate, and he ll look to continue leading the Rangers pitching staff.
