Over the past few years, the rumors have been swirling about Damian Lillard s future in the NBA, with the Portland Trail Blazers seemingly like a team that can t surround him with enough talent to become a true contender in the Western Conference.
After having arguably one of the best seasons of his career, Lillard headed into the NBA offseason empty-handed yet again, with the Blazers failing to make the playoffs and the future in Portland looking bleak, to say the least.
Although Lillard has been adamant about staying in Portland as he is determined to win with the Blazers, it may finally be time for the two sides to part ways, with theMiami Heatemerging as the clear favorite to trade for the superstar guard this summer.
According to BetOnline.AG via NBA Central, Miami is the favored landing spot for Lillard, followed closely by the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, and Boston Celtics.

Miami would be an ideal landing spot for Lillard, as the team is built to win now with arguably one of the best head coaches in the league calling the shots on the sideline in Erik Spoelstra, and one of Lillard s closest friends in the league, Bam Adebayo, as one of the team s star players moving forward.
The Nets are intriguing because they desperately need a star to play alongside Mikal Bridges, but they probably aren t the kind of team Lillard would want to go to if he s looking to compete for a title right away.
It ll be interesting to see how all this pans out and whether Lillard is finally on the move this summer.
