Last year, Rodriguez was an All-Star and won a Silver Slugger Award in addition to being named the Rookie of the Year.
He hasn t quite had the same success this year, as he is hitting just .238.
However, the power numbers are still present.
Rodriguez has homered 12 times this season and has driven in 39 runs.
He also is reaching base at a .300 clip, is slugging .415, and has an OPS of .715.
After an exciting showing in last year s derby, Rodriguez will be back for more, and Mariners fans will have a front row seat to see what their homegrown star can do in this year s derby.
The video features some of the swings Rodriguez took in the 2022 derby, which were some powerful swings.
He ll hope to replicate his performance this year and potentially win the derby in front of the home crowd in Seattle.
