TheBoston Celticshave to make a decision about Jaylen Brown s future.
Following his All-NBA selection, the young guard/forward is now eligible to sign a five-year contract extension worth a whopping $295 million.
Notably, that would mean that they d likely commit $600 million to two players, with Jayson Tatum also waiting in line to sign a historic deal next offseason.
That s why keeping some of their current players could be tricky, as the new CBA makes it tough to have multiple players making big bucks, and the Dallas Mavericks could make the most of that situation by completing a sign-and-trade to pry Grant Williams away, according to The Athletic (Via NBACentral).

Williams is set to become a restricted free agent, meaning the Celtics have the right to match any offer he gets.
Then again, they might not be able to match quite a steep offer, which is why a sign-and-trade would be a better option as opposed to just letting him walk away and get nothing in return for his services.
Williams has made a name for himself for his hard work ethic and versatility.
He can play and guard both forward spots and even some small-ball center, and he s improved as a three-point shooter in every single season he s been in the league.
The Mavs desperately crave some defense, and they could even offer him a bigger role in the starting lineup, so he should also be interested in a change of scenery, assuming the Celtics aren t that willing to pay up to keep him for the future.
