Damar Hamlin, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, came dangerously close to passing just a few months ago when he suffered a heart arrest during a crucial game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Many believed that his football career would be ended and that it might take a very long time for him to just get well again.
However, he recovered incredibly quickly, and now that NFL training camps are begun, he is back playing for his team.
Hamlin claimed that his return to the practice field with protective gear was an emotional experience for him.
For the first time since going into cardiac arrest on the field in Cincinnati Jan. 2nd, Damar Hamlin was in pads.
After practice he said, it was “a super big hurdle” and a “rollercoaster of emotions.”#BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/uAotkfP1WJ

Everyone in the country has been cheering for the 25-year-old since his recovery has been such a feel-good tale.
When the Bills traveled to Ohio in early January for what was anticipated to be a titanic contest against Joe Burrow and the Bengals, they were 12-3 overall.
Hamlin lost consciousness on the field following a collision and needed to be transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment of his cardiac crisis.
He has recovered more quickly than almost everyone anticipated, and he is now on schedule to assist the Bills in their bid to win their first Super Bowl.
When they were humiliated 27-10 by the Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round of the 2022 season, everything abruptly came to an end.
They should have a significant emotional boost as a result of Hamlin’s return to the field, which may enable them to perform at their best this season.
They will require it as the rest of the AFC has become increasingly deep and competitive.
